we've been having a great long weekend so far! friday night we went out to dinner with J&M. we hit up the Roaring Fork to try #30 ranked burger. of course, when papa_mona and i were walking out the door to go get J&M we somehow managed to arm and set off our alarm system...sweet monkey fritters that was loud! we have no idea how disarm it:( we had to call the alarm company and they told us how to unplug it. all is fixed, all is well and we still made it for burgers. i did try to take a picture but the lighting was very low due to the romantical atmosphere:) i might try to add the photo later. we all enjoyed our burger...yes, we all got the same thing:) papa_mona thought it was better than the higher rated houston burger but we both agreed the counter burger was better!
saturday we had lunch with neighbor S and in the late afternoon D&A came over. D came so he could play Xbox with papa_mona and compare their 17 and 18 year scotches! A came to hang out with me and teach me a bit about our new camera! D and papa_mona enjoyed the scotch (the 18 year was much smoother) and got in a few solid hours of killing and blowing things up:) A taught me lots of good things about the camera...thanks guys for sharing your saturday afternoon with us!
i also made peanut butter brownies on saturday...delish! photo taken with new learned camera techniques:)
sunday, papa_mona and i picked up the new stroller!!!! they assembled it for us so that was a treat...thanks REI! our pretend baby M is papa_mona's cabbage patch from when he was little:)
we also picked up the conversion and toddler rails from BRU. sweet monkey fritters, babies have lots of stuff!!!
today we are just going to enjoy our day off...hope everyone is having a great relaxing labor day!
