Holy lord, it's been awhile!

Man it's been awhile! We've just been busy livin' life which keeps us all very busy:) just wanted to try and get a couple pics up here before jake's 9 month mark. Here are the boys and and the deck we got put on the house!

i haven't blogged in forever...sorry, but these boys keep me busy. so trying to keep everyone alive and happy is apparently an all consuming job, who knew?!?! i've also started working out again and that bumps blogging down a notch right now...not enough hours in the day! everyone is doing well. jake turned 6 months yesterday which is crazy...i mean how can he be that old already?!?! he has his well check on monday so i'll try and get back on with a picture and some stats. max has had his language explosion and is talking up a storm...sometimes he can be quite bossy...i don't know where he gets that from:) they boys are really starting to interact together and play which makes my heart melt. max loves to share with his little brother and its so fun to see. jake is almost sitting up unassisted and has started some food...right now sweet potatoes and applesauce are his favs...we tried carrots yesterday and he didn't show much love:) here is just a dump of photos. i'll try and get back on sometime and do some videos and a little more typing.

4 months, 6 months, whatever!

so jake is now 4 months old but he is as big as max was when he was 6 months old! i guess we make big babies:) jake had his 4 month well check on monday and is 19 lb (97%) and 28 inches (off the charts). he got his shots and did pretty good with them...he did have a fever yesterday which i'm contributing to his shots. he's talking and giggling up a storm so its super fun. max and luke both had a cold over the long weekend so that was no fun...they both seem to be doing better. max is talking more and starting to make 2-3 word sentences so its fun to watch him grow and learn. his little imagination is going full speed all the time. max continues to be a wonderful big brother...he is always bringing toys to jake and has recently started to try and share food with him. i told max jake only drinks milk so of course he offered his straw cup:) my parents are coming in a week so we are looking forward to that...mama has lots of plans while they are here:) here are the boys in their first jiu jitsu practice

3 months and counting

i know i'm not doing too good at getting on here and blogging but there always seems like there is something else to be doing...sleeping, showering, eating, laundry, kissing on my babies:)  max is at school and jake is sleeping so i'm going to try and at least get this started.

jake turned 3 months on the 13th...he weighed in at 17lb.  he is a solid little guy!  he has started to "talk" when he sits with me in the kitchen.  he is also giggling and last night he rolled tummy to back twice.  its going soooo fast.

max got hit with the cedar pretty bad (so did papa) but we've gotten the zyrtec into his system and he is doing much better.  he is talking up a storm...it takes us a bit to figure out what he's saying but most of the time we can get it.  he's starting to learn his numbers and letters...here is a little video of him counting...i was trying to take a picture and i was counting to 3...i didn't realize i had on the video:)

he loves to help me cook...he's great at cookies and scrambled eggs:)  he is also very into showering right now which is super cute.

my bff, K, was here this past weekend...awesome!  some friends here in ATX threw a sip n see for jake on saturday...it was so fun and i'm sure C will send me some pics and i'll post when i get them.

2012

Well, 2011 is over and 2012 has begun! 2011 was a great year as it brought us jake and toddler max. It kind went out a bang that we could have done without (the stomach flu) but you take the bad with good!
We've just settling back into a regular routine and boy does that feel good. Max went back to school on the 2nd. We're going to do our best to get jake up into his room over the weekend. We tried last Sunday and it was a big fat fail:( he's still smiling up a storm. Max still loves stacking and playing make believe with curious George and pig! He takes them both everywhere!
Okay, I don't know how to move the pics around on my phone. It just kind of dumps them so this is what you got...jake in his fancy clothes ringing in the new year, jake finding his thumb, smiley pants, max so excited about stacking TP, saying cheese after he stacks his cheese, hanging with papa on the staircase. I'm hoping you can figure out what goes with what!!
