lots of stuff

it's been busy the last couple of week and mama's need to nap has been taking priority over blogging so sorry about the lack of posts:) i'm not sure it will be changing any time soon!
mama went to chicago a couple of weekends ago for her friend, M's, baby shower. it was super fun and super tiring. i also was able to see my parents, sister, BIL and niece so that was great. i don't have any pictures of my own but when they get passed along to me, i will post some:)
papa and max did okay while i was gone...one of max's molars chose that saturday to break through so it was kind of rough day for everyone. his other one on the bottom came through this weekend...not fun:( poor little guy...just can't feel very good.
we've also been to a couple of birthday parties so that keeps us pretty "busy" on the weekends! max got a balloon at on of the parties and loved to let it hit the fan!


we did a small easter celebration here at home yesterday. max got a chocolate bunny and some cascarones (confetti filled eggs).

he really seemed to enjoy breaking the eggs...go figure. max is really into throwing these days.

he is starting to repeat some words...his best is bump, he'll also do step and up:) he loves to get pulled around in the laundry basket or his wagon. he constructed his own side car yesterday:)

he can almost reach the light switch on his own...the kid is crazy tall and can reach just about anything on the counter top, including the stove!

everyone needs a little help once in awhile:)

big news!!

mama's got another baby in her belly!! we are super excited!!! i'll be 13 weeks along on friday and my due date is set for october 14. we've had 2 dr's appt so far and everything is looking really good. i also had an NT scan which checks for genetic disorders and we are pleased to report the results came back good. i've been really tired but i think we are on the up swing of things...come on 2nd trimester:) i've felt pretty similar to how i did when i carried max so i'm not complaining. we have our big anatomy scan set for may 19th and we will be finding out gender as long as baby cooperates:)

max has still been suffering from allergies so we're doing zyrtec twice a day as well as bathing him every night to get all the pollen off...it does seem to be helping...can't wait for april to be over!
i'm just about over this cold...i think another couple days and i'll be 100%!

its been awhile:)

sorry we've been mia over here! we had a grandparent invasion for about 10 days...both sets at different times, mama got a cold, max is cutting his molars and the tree pollen is killing all of us:( its been fun times around these parts!
max turned 16 months somewhere during all of that.

papa thinks he grew several inches over night at some point in time. we had a really rough week about 2 weeks ago but things seem to be getting back to normal. the molars aren't through yet but apparently it can take couple of months...OMG!
we had a wonderful visit with both sets of grandparents and max really enjoyed the extra attention, the extra trips outside and all the rides in the wagon! max fells asleep in the wagon on a particularly rough day when dad-dad was pulling him around:)


we unfortunately didn't take a ton of pictures and we didn't get any with dad-dad and dad-mom...that was right in the middle of the rough week.
max got another haircut...this time we went to the barber shop and they did a good job and it was a couple of bucks cheaper than the kids place so i'm pretty sure we'll go there again:)

its really hard to get max to sit with someone and take a good picture...he needs to be going all. the. time! i did get a couple with my parents but haven't transferred them yet...will get them up for next time!
