15 months

we had max's 15 month well check today. he is weighing in at 26 lbs (50-75%) and is 33 inches tall (85%). dr j said he is growing great and is right on track with everything. i didn't think he was going to get any shots...mama was wrong:( he got his first chicken pox and his MMR. he cried when they were doing it but pretty much stopped when they finished. he's such a strong guy!
he is pretty much running everywhere! he's on the go constantly and loves to stay busy. he's really starting to imitate things papa and i do, like brushing hair or putting on lotion. he knows exactly what towel to bring me when i shut off the shower...its pretty awesome. he's doing a little sign language, more and all done. he's really into "reading" his books right now...he loves to sit and turn the pages. i've taken to putting a couple of book on the edge of his crib and when he wakes he usually gets them and reads until someone come to get him:) he's such a good little boy and such a joy to be around everyday...papa and i are really lucky!!

soooo tall!

we are heading to the dr's on thursday for max's 15 month well check so i will come back and write a bit more after that but i just wanted to get this video posted! this is max getting into the kitchen drawers...unassisted:)

all is well here...we enjoyed having papa home yesterday (president's day!) and we've really been enjoying the warmer weather...for the most part, it's been in the 70's for the last 10 days or so and it doesn't look like it is going to be stopping anytime soon...yay!!

my valentine's

these are my valentine's...hope you are getting to enjoy your day spending it with someone special!! wishing you a very happy valentine's day!!
we are hoping that this valentine's is the end of the cold weather:) it is supposed to be in the 70's today and we've already enjoyed the lovely outdoors today!
max is creeping pretty close to 26 lbs and boy, does that kid have a long reach. he can now open the drawer in the kitchen...oh, my, i guess we're due for another round of child-proofing:) he can climb up into his stroller with no help from the mama. he is starting, i think, to use some sign-language. he seems to do more and eat:)
these are some pics of him in his valentine outfit...its so hard to get his picture cause the minute he sees the camera he wants to play with it...i had to run far in front of him and these are of him coming after me:)

paarrrrrrrk!

after being shut in the house all of last week, we made it to the park yesterday...twice! max was in heaven:) he has taken to walking up the slide and yesterday he discovered that if he laid down at the top he got back to the bottom quite quickly...he thought it was the best thing ever, he must have done it like 15 times:)

he then got busy throwing mulch!




enjoy!! we are going to try and head to the park this afternoon if the weather holds!!

snow day!!

it snowed here in ATX over night...maybe 1/2in...i know its nothing compared to the 20 inches our friends got in chicago but its a big deal here...no school, the works!! i took max out in it this morning and he loved it. i get a big mommy fail cause the kid doesn't have mittens!! we had to come in because his poor little hands were soooo cold and he wasn't having it. he cried quite a bit after we got inside:( its been tough because the weather has been so cold...hasn't been above freezing for 3 days and i think max misses the park!

here are some pics from the little gym last week...we started our new class this week. we also started kindermusik...jury is still out:)



max got his 4th haircut yesterday...the lady we had before has moved on to houston:( so we had someone new...its okay but not as good as the last one! he has some long piece right at the top of his head...i might see if i can trim them:) its just hair...it'll grow back fast!
