wordless wednesday

8 mos and moving!

max is mobile and lightening quick!!! he just started moving around more and more yesterday afternoon and today he is off! i tried to take some 8 month pictures this morning but he was more interested in getting down and exploring his new found talent:)

he's weighing in at 21.6 lbs...i imagine that will slow down now that he is on the move:) this last picture was of him trying to get off the chair...don't bother me, mom, i'm busy!

bad blogger!

mama's been a bad blogger. max has been wanting a little more one on one time lately and i generally use his first nap to do a work-out, eat breakfast and shower if he sleeps that long. we usually run an errand between his morning and afternoon nap...before it gets hotter than the sun here in ATX:) his afternoon nap i use for lunch, a shower if i haven't gotten one earlier and then any household stuff i need to do. max is quietly playing behind me right now so i thought i would take advantage!
we got our new carpet last week and it's so nice to have that done. it looks great and is so soft and squishy!!


max has been getting up on his hands and knees quite a bit over the last few days which indicates to me that i will soon be in trouble:) i think he is starting to figure out what waving is and will occasionally wave if you wave at him. we haven't gone up to solids 3 times a day yet as he has been a bit disinterested in his food the last few days but i think that might be turning around. he is really starting to like his puffs and tore into a teething biscuit yesterday...maybe he's getting some new teeth??
it was papa's birthday yesterday and he paintballed in the morning and then we just chilled at home and had a nice dinner after max went to bed. all in all, it was a pretty quite weekend which we love around here!

bigger and better

it's time to shopping for max's new car seat...his poor little feet hang over the edge of his infant seat:) there is so much to pick from but i think we have it narrowed down and are going to try and do a little shopping this afternoon.
we spent the fourth in cali with papa's parents (dad-dad and dad-mom). we had a great time and it was a much needed get away!!! we decided to keep max on ATX time which worked out really well. it's perfect desert hours and we kept perfect time with dad-dad:) max really enjoyed to pool, so did mama!
the flights went well and the transition home has been pretty smooth.
not too much else going on here. it has been a pretty wet summer so far so that means lots of humidity...boo:( i do think it's going to be a little cooler this week so that's good.
we are all set to get some new carpet next week so that should be nice. will try and take some pics when they get finished.
max is weighing in at 21 lbs. not sure how long he is but he's getting BIG!! he loves to walk and stand. he contemplates crawling every once in awhile. he's still eating solids twice a day and i'm thinking about going up to 3. he likes to keep either me or papa in a direct line of sight. goes crazy in his jumperoo and if he had his way, play with our iphones all day long. he is also quite happy with a remote:)
