2 years

yesterday was our two year wedding anniversary:) we spent the day close to home just enjoying some family time.

in two short years!
papa was schooling max in the ways of the force...we had watched star wars last week and yesterday they were watching empire strikes back. we have decided that max is definitely more wookie than ewok...inspiration for halloween perhaps:)

7 months

he's weighing in right at 20 lbs!! not sure how long he is but he is one big boy:)
he continues to make us smile and laugh everyday. he loves to "walk" and i think he is contemplating crawling so i've been letting him spend more time on his tummy:)

father's day

pre-race saturday

we had a great father's day weekend here in ATX. it was a little warm but we just stay inside in the air-con. papa completed his first mini triathlon on father's day...we are so proud of him. he did it with his gym buddy EBJ. max and i opted to stay home because of the weather and the distance...papa was gone from about 5am to 1230pm...we have a nap schedule that is very important:)

that night papa had requested a father's day feast so we grilled steaks, made a caprese salad with our homegrown tomatoes and basil and mama made homemade brownies and hot fudge that went fabulous with some locally made vanilla ice cream:)

max's other tooth came through this weekend...tried to take another picture:)

we didn't do much this weekend...its already full force summer here, complete with the heat and humidity:) i don't think max and i left the house yesterday. max just loves it when papa is home over the weekend to play with him...they spent some quality time in the box and practicing crawling...no real "movement" on that front. eating solids continues to go well...we had strawberries and zucchini as his new foods last week and this week we will be doing broccoli and peaches. he is up to 16 foods and we are doing twice a day.
max loves to make new noises and this week it has been his dino sound...very hard to describe but very fun to hear:)

can you see that tooth in there?? it popped up about a week ago and i think it's neighbor isn't too far behind:)
