wordless wednesday

6 months

max had his 6 month well check this morning and this are looking really good! he weighed in at 18lbs 11ozs (75%) and measured 27 3/4 inches (90%). his head was 43 1/2 cm (50%). dr j said he is sitting really good and that is usually a 7 month skill...go max!! we can start increasing the amount/times we feed him solid foods...she said we have the next 3 months to get him up to 3 meals a day so just take our time and enjoy! she thinks some teeth are coming very soon:) she was a little bummed about his snotty nose and how long it is hanging on...she said if not gone in a week, he will probably need some antibiotics for a sinus infection:( he got his shots and only cried for a little bit. we came home, he ate his bottle and is fast asleep:)
on a side note, max will be getting a new cousin in october...aunt L is expecting their first so that is super exciting news!

this was just yesterday:)

max's first plane trip went splendidly...his second, not so much, but we can't be greedy:) max and i spent a week at my parent's which was really nice and restful. we just kind of hung out. max got right back onto schedule and did great with traveling. he even had his first haircut at grandma's.

the next weekend was mother's day weekend and papa met us in chicago and we spent the weekend at my sister's and max got to hang out with his cousin brenna. they really seemed to like each other:) my mom was in seventh heaven having the whole family together.

we then spent a few days seeing friends around the chicago area...we didn't get to see some people because max got sick one day so we just stayed home so he could get some rest. we then made a 6 hour car trip to cinci so max could meet papa's TT.

max did pretty well with the car trip but with all the traveling and not napping well his cold kind of resurfaced and was feeling pretty yucky by the time we were to leave for home...we were flying from cinci to ATX. max was more fussy on the way home...i attribute it to his cold and the fact that we were delayed for about 5 hours during the day. it's never felt so good to be home!!!
max is finally starting to feel better and has been sleeping and eating pretty good the last day or so. hopefully this cold is behind us! dad-dad has been here this week doing some home repairs for us. he leaves tomorrow.
max is starting to sit up with no support of his hands. he says da-da a lot...we occasionally get a ma-ma:) he's added pears, butternut squash, apriums and peas to his eating rotation. he didn't really care for the peas but loves everything else:) we are having some 6 month pics done tomorrow...melissa is coming over to do those. i am super excited...i'm sure she'll get some great shots. max has his 6 month well check on monday so i'll post his stats and picture monday afternoon or tuesday.

mostly wordless wednesday

sorry we've been mia. we were out of town for a couple of weeks visiting my parents and then we saw some friends in chi-town and some of papa's family in cinci. hopefully this weekend i can get on and recap the trip and put up a bunch of pics. this picture pretty much summarizes our wicked long day of traveling to get home last friday. we were in dallas waiting for our second delayed flight of the day:)

max caught a cold while we were gone and is still fighting it...its really bothering him while he sleeps...sad for us all:( dad-dad is here right now helping us do some home repairs. hope to catch up more this weekend!!
