4 months

max had his 4 month well check this morning. he got weighed, measured, poked, prodded and all vaccinated. he weighed 15lbs 2ozs and was 25.75 inches long. his weight fell between the 50-75% and his height was between the 75-90%. dr j said his head was growing nicely as well:) he didn't really care for the shots and let everyone know about it:) he's been a bit fussy today but not too bad. we got the okay to start solids...haven't decided if we are going to do rice cereal or oatmeal...will probably start this weekend. have to buy some food and get some tiny utensils. max still pushes a lot with his tongue so we'll see how that goes. i know it will be quite the adventure. he loves to stand (with support, of course) and giggle when you get his pits, especially when papa does it! we've been sitting him in his high-chair and i think he enjoys being up high with the big people.
i tried to get some good photos but his new favorite thing to do is slide down once i get him propped up...little stink pot:)

and he loves to ferociously chew on his hands:)

we got a new tree in our back yard today that is in honor of max so its fun to see it in the yard!

happy st. pat's

nothing too much going on here. max got decked out in his st. patrick's clothing and we made black and tan brownies to celebrate. they turned out really well...i ate a whole bunch and then sent the rest to work with papa!
max held his bottle on his own for a few seconds last night...not really sure he knew what he was doing:) he is definitely more interested in playing and looking around than eating...hoping that this will soon pass:) has his 4 month well check a week from today so we will update after that.

busy, busy!

its been a busy few weeks around these parts so sorry for the lack of blog posts! grandma and grandpa O (mom-mom and mom-dad) got here last thursday and we been off radar since then. we also got our new bedroom furniture last week...woo-hoo!

max has been busy getting held all. the. time. by the g-parents...it will be interesting to see how he adjusts after we drop them at the airport. i know it will be pretty quite around these parts and max will sure miss them a bunch.
max is definitely gearing up for summer...he got a couple new hats, swim trunks and sunglasses...that texas sun is bright:)

max is smiling up a storm and loves to play and laugh...he will roll occassionally. he tells the best stories. he's pushing 14.5 lbs and is getting closer to 30inches than he is to 20...we think he's around 26 or so inches. he has his 4 month well check in 2 weeks so we'll get the official stats then.
i hope to get some better shots of our bedroom furniture but this is the best i have so far...max was the first to sleep on the bed!
